HISTORY
For a demon, Miho seems way too weak. Honestly, it's surprising how she even managed to get here. Or maybe not. It depends on your point of view, to be honest.
When she was human, she used to be called names while in school. Her parents, of course, did not know of it, so that was not a problem. She herself hated it, but would never actually comment on it. Until, one day, one of her bullies took her notebook and ripped most of its pages. So much time spent in order for her to write both school stuff and her own fiction, all lost now. She got really angry, Surprisingly angry, actually, considering the fact that she almost lunged at the guy, desperately trying to recover her lost notes. She didn't resolve to violence, besides slapping him harshly, but that was only the start for her.
First of all, her parents got called to school for that. If you think that she actually told them everything about the bullies and her life got better, well, you're wrong. She shut up about it and took all the blame upon herself. That was what she had done best most of her life.
After that one slap, however, the bullies got more aggressive. They saw some kind of power in her and wanted to make her show it. There'd be more to that one slap, right? And there was, but her willpower was stronger than that. Like that, one day, she simply got beaten up. Badly. And if she usually blamed the wounds on her clumsiness or whatever, this was something she could not hide from her parents. In her oblivion, Miho just decided to avoid going home until she looked at least presentable, since "getting lost in the forest and finally coming back home with only a few scratches" sounded way better than the actual story. She could hide that, right?
Well, the answer is no, since she had no actual idea on how to treat her wounds. And not-so-surprisingly, she ended up actually getting lost in the forest. Pretty bad wounds, no chance of treating them and getting lost in the forest? Not something to be taken lightly by such a fragile human. C'mon, the beatings had gotten to be quite often, so she was already weakened. Now imagine a thirsty vampire who had smelled her blood and had decided to see where that strong scent came from.
The actual surprising thing about the story is, however, the fact that she actually fought back on that one. It was as if suddenly she had realized that yes, God damn it, her life was in danger! Even though her strength would never match the one of a vampire, she still gave it her all: she slapped, punched, kicked and even reached for some branches to throw at him! Well, that's pretty futile, considering a vampire's power, but the said creature saw potential in her. Apparently her strong will was something that would work well. He gave her the opportunity to drink his blood, become a vampire, save her life, but she refused.
...Did she really think that he'd listen to her and just kill her on the spot? Nope. He forced it down her throat. The circumstances forced Miho to leave her parents and the human town in favor of the vampire populated one. She knew nobody around there and was ten times more scared than before. What would she do? She had to feed on human blood in order to become a full fledged vampire. Would she hurt anyone, though? The answer is no. She starved herself, not knowing what the result of that would be.
As she became a demon, receiving the new name of "Chryseis" and a decent amount of power, Miho took her human form back. She did not want the weapon power or anything, just wanted to be back to her average form. Unfortunately, her past life was gone: Hell, almost a century had passed! Now she's living life at its fullest, no longer receiving name calling or anything. Her passion for writing has not faded one bit and now she can actually keep going forward with it. She's pretty tall for a "human" girl and she honestly hates it, especially since despite her height, she still feels really small whenever talking to someone. The fact that it only brings attention to her is also a bad part of it. But at least it's intimidating? She wouldn't want to have anyone get hurt because of her, so it's probably for the best. Maybe, just this once, things could work out for her.
...The only problem with this form is that Miho has, yet again, to drink blood in order to survive. But as long as the truce allows her to keep living on small amounts of consensually given given human blood, she just makes an exception. God forbid the day she'd actually have to cause violence.
